Wont there always be new gfx cards coming out? By that logic you should wait forever and not upgrade coz gfx cards will always be improved. .. unless you are a mad man like Trevor and can only play with the newest of the newest then you might have to wait a bit.

i'll stick to my 980x and 580's(when i can afford more of them) hopefully it will cause a price drop on current stuff.

Hence your need for tri sli 580's! Got my trusty 5850 and dependant on how bf3 runs max @1920 i may xfire it.

Tempting as it is to get something new before the game's out, I think it would be best to wait until it's out and been thoroughly benchmarked to death before reaching for the credit card. Seen some reports saying you need 2 x 580's to run it at full, seen others saying the gfx card requirements will be about the same as BC2 (a single 5850 runs BC2 very well for me).

I think server lag is likely to more a problem than anything else. But looking at the list if you have anything higher than Geforce GTX 460 it should play fine. I'll probably wait, but for a bit more punch the Radeon 6950 is going for £180 and the Geforce 560ti that I may go for is going for around £150.
