K,
you need a nvidia 460 1GB min , which is about 130 quid, 2 more gigs of ram, if you have the spare slots, otherwise you may need to replace all your ram.

Keep the 8800 and dedicate it to physx. The psu should do the job as it has 2 6pin pciex connections.
A nvidia 470 or 570 would be better, but they are around 200 to 300 quid.

But what monitor do you have?

You can go on here: http://www.crucial.com/uk/systemscanner/ to find out what ram your PC will take. You also need Vista or Win7. It won't work on XP neither as it needs DX11.

Your Motherboard takes up to 8GB of DDR2-533, DDR2-667 or DDR2-800MHz memory;

GFX was discussed more here: viewtopic.php?f=188&t=56605

Depends how much you want to spend really.

Nice machine I'm looking to upgrade to something like that in the future.

One thing though.
Colin linked a dirt cheap Windows 7 to me at some point but I never bought it.

Perhaps Colin link it again? :P

Get the i5 instead of the i7 if you're just playing games, should be more than enough.

Swap the Seagate drive for a Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB if you can (6gb/s on a normal HDD is useless).

or

Apart from that, all good. :thumbl:

True and remember to remove the power cable :P

Use strips to gather all the lose wires if needed. Makes it easier to work with and less mess next time you have to change something.

Bet you a 10'er that you will get atleast 1 cut on one of your fingers while changing the parts.. I always do so I expect the same from you. :D

it'd be tempted just to push for a slightly more expensive gpu - 570gt?

I went for that same hdd windows bundle....... good value for money.....

as ezer said - 2500k for gaming....

i7's only if ur into video editing as it will provide no benefit to gaming whatsoever.

even an i3 is perfectly capable of out bf3's processors useage... maxed out.... it's ALL in the GPU for this game... it's the big bottleneck..
