cheers luke, ill give them that as another option, but ill have to bump the total price of the tower up to £400 soo i can make money from it, depends on how much they want to spend.
i also came up with a budget option for about £300 if they want it cheap, but i think the one i posted above is the best option, unless they're happy with £400 per unit.

get a slower cpu and more mem - is better for business apps
your version of a better PC and a manager who knows FA about IT are a million miles apart - also 50 quid for making 3 PC's - you undersell your self

just my pennysworth ... for the sake of saving them a few pounds the computers will always be your problem if anything were to go wrong.

what he said...
50 quid might sound a lot to you... but 40-50 quid per build is more like it...

Supporting home computers are one thing but I wouldn't touch business computers with a barge pole. Say the hard drive of one of them goes wrong nine months down the line and loses a load of data... Have they already got a backup system in place? Server? It can be done but you need to let them know that the company is responsible for the PC's once they are built, not you personally.

they have a server for the systems which is backed up onto portable harddrives every day which are kept in a safe, and the database automatically saves to the server everytime you do anything. all thats actually on the harddrives of the computers is the office suite and the operating system. soo pretty safe on that front caspius. as for what the rest of you are saying, ill revise the quote i gave them and use a cheaper CPU, that way ill get a bit more money, didnt really think i should take more than like 50 quid for it, but ill go for it now

casp/rick the problem there is that i cant buy the stuff in myself and then sell it to them at whatever i want, they'll have to buy the stuff and have it delivered to the work soo i can sort it, therefore they know exactly what its costing.
