Down load cpu-z from here and have a look...
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

its only because when i reset the bios..i forgot to reset the memory.. (in gigabyte award bios..it seems to default to 1333 because for some reason the board i have..doesnt support certain brands of memory at 1600 htz.)
anyway you can set a profile so that it will) or manually change some setting in the bios.

this is a screen shot and the dram figure shown is 533 (that is correct for 1066 sticks)
hope this helps some people who have recently build..or never checked.)

i think 533 means double it as its dual channel so 533 x 2 =1066.

Mine runs at 1600, but the mobo default is 1300 or so, i have to up it in the bios
