I'm looking for a 2TB USB 3 Hard Drive to keep a duplicate of things that are on my internal hard drive. I permanently back up files I want to keep to DVD.
These are what I looked at: - Buffalo 2TB DriveStation External Hard Drive £110 2 year warranty - WD 2TB My Book Essential USB 3.0 External Hard Drive £94.93 2 year warranty - LaCie P'9230 USB 3.0/ USB 2.0 2TB Porsche Design Desktop Drive £110 2 year Warranty
Should I have a preference on the make?

I got a 2 TB WD with a USB 3 card in the end. I'm using Acronis True Image Home to back up the partitions on from my internal HD's. For the first time ever I now have a decent back up of everything on the PC.

Should I have a preference on the make? ive had 2 wd give up on me........ I'm no IT guy but is the problem not sorted by having enough space in the freezer for the drive? Atleast I think that what my buddy Roberto does when they give up on him .. Think he got the advice from some pro IT guys.
